150th Jubilee Garden

Today we had the official opening of the 150th Jubilee garden.
 We would like to thank the Johnsonville Charitable Trust for their generous support to our fabulous garden. Also, a big thanks to Dylan our caretaker, for installing our special koru seat.

Kawakawa ointment

Last week the juniors in enviro group joined te reo extension and Whaea Adrienne to make kawakawa ointment.
First we put kawakawa leaves in a double boiler.
We covered the leaves with olive oil and put them on the double boiler for 3 hours.
 Next we strained the solution and added beeswax.
 Made the labels.
 The jars ready!
Then filled them.
 Our amazing kawakawa ointment- Rangoa pani kawawkawa.

Weta Hotel!

A huge thank you to the Dolan family for the fabulous weta hotel that they donated to the school.
We have hung it down in the nature trail and are eagerly waiting for residents!

Wacky Walking Wednesday!

On Wednesday as part of Movin' March, we had our Wacky Walking Wednesday. Everyone was encouraged to decorate their shoes and walk to school.

Sea Week Sea Creatures

This year we decided to got creative for Sea Week. Everyone was encouraged to dive into their recycle bins and make a sea creature. Today we got to share  our sea creatures to the rest of the  school. Here are some of our amazing creations!
We also raised $102 to go to Project Jonah. Thanks everyone for your support.
